Behind the artist name Bon Iver hides Justin Vernon from Wisconsin, USA. Late 2007 he released the critically acclaimed album ‘For Emma, Forever Ago’ on the always interesting label Jagjaguwar. A few months later his debut also became available on this side of the Atlantic. This is music for those who already have fallen for Iron & Wine, Will Oldham and similar acts. The album has climbed high on a lot 2008 best of lists, for example with Rough Trade in England.
