Donkeyboy consists of a handful of fine, young gentlemen from the Norwegian city of Drammen. Their hit Ambitions has gotten quite a lot of airtime on Norwegian radio lately, and now they’ve landed a deal in the big league, with Warner Music. In other words, Donkeyboy stands ready to conquer our hearts and souls with great pop music in the years to come. Toying around with the sound of the 80s doesn’t cause the band any embarrassment, and they also admit to having listened to both Michael Jackson and Fleetwood Mac. Donkeyboy isn’t a semi-lame retro act, but a band for the future. With their pleasant melodies and confident performances, we’re convinced that these guys will be part of the scene for many years to come. We eagerly await their Øya performance, and also their debut album, which is due this fall.
