The Monolithic monster consists of only two persons: Stian Westerhus (Jaga Jazzist, Puma) on baritone guitar and Kenneth Knapstad (Motorpsycho) on drums. Together they conjure up one helluva ruckus with their rather sparse instrumentation. It actually borders on ridiculous that a duo is able to produce this much energy. These two guys take us on a rollercoaster ride of sound – from industrial metal to low-key, flowing free jazz.
The stated on-stage times on Club Night are approximate. Admission to Club Night concerts on Tuesday August 11 is free for festival visitors who hold a 4-day Festival Pass. Many venues fill up rather quickly, so if there’s an act you simply MUST see, being there early would be a good idea. At most venues, concert goers who do not hold a Festival Pass will have to pay an entrance fee. We encourage you to travel around the city, see a lot of shows, visit places you haven’t been to before and generally just have a grand ol’Club Night. Enjoy!
