THE CUMSHOTS

This band has travelled Norwegian and sometimes German roads for years. The five guys that make up The Cumshots are known for their supreme negativity, punchy rock and intense live shows. Last year saw the release of their fourth album, A Life Less Necessary. The record is full of manly, muscular and sweaty rock and metal, but also more varied than previous efforts, and with more dark depth. As Harald Fossberg from the newspaper Aftenposten put it in his review: “Listening to this album is like reliving the movie Se7en, a nauseatingly claustrophobic experience where the killer is inspired by the seven deadly sins.”

Lately, there has been quite a buzz in the UK, and the band has played there on several occasions. Magazines like Rock Sound (10 of 10), Kerrang (5 of 5) and Metal Hammer (8 of 10) have been very enthusiastic about The Cumshots’ performances, and there’s no reason to expect anything less when their album drops this spring. This is a band that should appeal everyone with a soft spot for classics like Motörhead, Slayer, Entombed and their like.

After spending summer 2010 on tour, The Cumshots will return to Oslo and The Øya Festival to give the audience a lesson in Norwegian aggression and testosterone-fuelled rock.
