CLUB NIGHT
CLUB NIGHT, TUESDAY AUG 11TH:
The Club Night 2009 bill will include about 100 bands spread out on nearly 30 venues. Expect summer pop, Balkan rhythms, indie rock, psychedelia, hardcore, rock’n’roll, prog, punk, garage rock, country, electronica, blues and loads more. Musical events of this magnitude do not take place in downtown Oslo too often! As usual, the bill will be dominated by up and coming Norwegian acts, mixed with a few well-known names.
The stated on-stage times for Club Night are approximate. Admission to Club Night concerts is free for festival visitors who hold a Festival Pass. If you have bought a 4-day festival ticket, remember to exchange it for a Festival Pass wrist band at our stand on Youngstorget on Monday or Tuesday during the festival week.
Many venues fill up rather quickly, so if there’s an act you simply MUST see, being there early would be a good idea. At most venues, concert goers who do not hold a Festival Pass will have to pay an entrance fee.
We encourage you to travel around the city, see a lot of shows, visit places you haven’t been to before and generally just have a grand ol’ Club Night. Enjoy!
Club Night is supported by Gramo, the joint collecting society in Norway for musicians, performing artists, and phonogram producers.
